Robin Swan among cannabis plants, holding a leaf beside her face

Robin is a plant alchemist working out of San Diego County, blending lineage herbalism with modern cannabinoid formulation. Her approach is holistic — physical, emotional, mental and spiritual — and her guiding principle is simple: Love All ~ Serve All. She has served families across three generations: grandparents living with chronic conditions, adult children exploring culture, and now their pets. That knowledge lived in phone calls and email threads. Here it becomes something the whole community can read, search and question.

The road here

  1. The calling

Robin grew up around plant preparations, learning from her grandmothers — a lineage she describes as Persian, Yemeni and Eastern Cherokee. She was making early forms of full-plant extracts as a teenager.

  2. Hands first

Bodywork came before bottles: structural integration and neuromuscular therapy taught her to read a body before reaching for a formulation.

  3. The years that changed everything

Between 2007 and 2009 Robin lost nine family members to cancer and other serious illness. That is when the work with concentrates became a practice rather than a hobby.

  4. Swan Apothecary

Small-batch cannabinoid formulations — oils, topicals, edibles, full-plant extracts and pet products — locally sourced and third-party lab tested.

Biography as told by Robin. Products are not evaluated by the FDA and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

How Robin works

  • Start lower than you think

Hold a dose for four nights before you judge it. Most disappointment comes from moving too fast, not from the wrong product.

  • Write it down

A three-line note each evening tells you more than any label. Sleep, appetite, mood, and what you actually took.

  • Nothing here treats disease

We talk honestly about symptom burden. Anyone promising a cure is not someone to buy from.

  • Your clinician stays in the loop

Bring your notes to the people who know your history. This is education, not a treatment plan.

Answers are general education written by a person, in weekly batches. They are never a diagnosis, a prescription, or a promise of a particular result.

This week's batch of questions was almost all about titration. My honest answer has not changed in fifteen years: start lower than you think, hold it for four nights before judging it, and write down what happened. Most of the disappointment I see comes from moving too fast, not from the wrong product. I will take the three most common questions live on Thursday.

A reminder I will keep repeating: nothing sold here treats cancer, and anyone who tells you otherwise is not someone you should be buying from. What we can talk about honestly is symptom burden — sleep, appetite, nausea, pain. That conversation is worth having and it does not require anyone to exaggerate.
