Safety and moderation policy

Our reporting route, response times, automated spam protection and the escalation path for urgent safety concerns.

Reporting content

Every post, comment and event message carries a report control. Reports reach the moderation queue immediately and include the reason you selected plus any detail you add. Reporters are never shown to the member being reported.

Our response commitments

We aim to work to these targets and publish where we fall short:

  • Safety-critical reports (self-harm, threats, minors): reviewed the same day.
  • Medical-claim and misinformation reports: reviewed within 48 hours.
  • Spam, off-topic and commercial reports: reviewed within 5 days.
  • Appeals of a moderation decision: answered within 7 days.

Automated protection

Comments pass through an automated spam guard before they are published. It limits how quickly one account can comment, blocks duplicate posts, caps the number of links in a single comment and screens for a maintained list of blocked terms. Automated blocks are advisory only — a human reviews anything a member disputes.

Urgent situations

The Swan Legacy is not an emergency service and is not monitored around the clock. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency number or a crisis line in your country first, then report the content to us so we can act on the post itself.
